Normal width is D. Narrow with is C. Width E is considered wide and width EE is extra wide.

Using a cloth tape measure, (the kind like you have in your sewing box), comfortably wrap the tape around the ball of your child’s foot (the widest part just behind the toes). Match the number you get to the size and width chart. You will now have the correct size and width for properly fitting shoes for your little one.
